DIPTYQUE is already a well-loved candle and fragrance brand and excitingly 2014 sees the brand branch into skincare! Skincare is a flooded market with a myriad of choice, so it will be interesting to see how the range fares and whether Diptyques legacy for beautiful smells will pique consumers interest!
The range, named L’Art du Soin, arrives 4 years after the brand first launched their body care range. It is a 5 piece collection based around natural cosmetic substances like clay, rice powder and floral wax. There is a strong Japanese theme in the range which excites me as many great skinnovations come out of Asia.
The 5 products being launched include: Infused Facial Water, Protective Moisturizing Lotion, Nourishing Cleansing Balm, Multi-Use Exfoliating Clay and a Radiance Boosting Powder.
I am most looking forward to trying the Infused Facial Water (£35) which is 84% Damask Rose and 10 other infusions. I am a huge fan of this old school product and always pick up a beautiful frosted glass bottle of Rosewater Cologne when I am in southern Europe. I expect it to be a cooling cocktail used to tone and cleanse the face.
However, the most intriguing product would be the Radiance Boosting Powder, a delicate powder which when mixed with water turns into an exfoliating cleanser. The powder is made from white clay, orange blossom and packed with vitamins to create a soothing, anti-inflammatory cleanser.
The unisex range has been created for everyday use and the packaging looks absolutely gorgeous, truly Diptyque. The line launches exclusively in Diptyque stores on February 27th and then in mid-March in selected stores.
